It's served to get rid of some of the most egregiously outlandish stuff that was common before the world wide web came into being (for instance, I no longer encounter recommendations to fill hollowpoint cavities with mercury, which used to be a staple of certain self-proclaimed experts back in the '90s!)
...That's why I started my original blog, and then split all of the self-defense-related talk to the one you're reading now: because I felt that it a voice of logic and reason was needed to counter some of the ridiculousness that pervades the web.
...Up until now he's been content to post his articles over at examiner.com (a great site that's been destroyed by horrendously bad pop-up, pop-over, pop-under, and just generally annoying pop-everything advertisements in an attempt to monetize their audience views.)
